Exponent is a puzzle game. There is no account, no player names, no chat, no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking across apps or websites.
Nothing leaves your device, and no id exists at all. Scores are kept only in the app's local storage. This is how the game starts: ranking is off until you switch it on in Settings.
Switching it back off deletes everything this server holds about you — your scores and your id are erased at that moment, not merely left behind. Your own best scores stay on your device. Turning ranking on again later creates a new id with no link to the old one.
If you turn it on, finishing a game or opening the score panel sends this server:
If you choose to support the game, the purchase (which item, and when) is recorded against the same id. Payment itself is handled by Google Play; this server never sees your payment details.
Your IP address is visible to the server while it answers a request, as it is to any web server, and is used only to limit abuse (capping how often one address may create identities or make requests). It is held briefly in memory for that purpose and is not stored with your scores and not used to identify or profile you.
Score entries are kept while the ranking service exists. Move replays are kept for score verification and are deleted periodically. You can erase everything held about you at any time, from inside the app, without asking anyone — see Your choices.
The app can be played safely by children under 13. It has no chat, no player names and no user-generated content of any kind: you are shown your own rank and percentile, ie. just numbers.
You do not need to write to anyone to be deleted: switch Settings → Internet ranking off and it is done, immediately and completely. That is the only route we can act on, because the id is the sole link to your scores and the app is the only place it is kept — we cannot look you up by name or by mail, having neither.
